This was recorded live at a Battle of the Bands performance The EverDead took part in on February 15, 2003 in Grand Rapids, MI. The other bands that were performing were mostly nu-metal, so we were the odd-ones out that night and didn't even come close to winning.

I got sick the night before the show, and I knew we were recording it for a potential live album, so I was in a horrible mood. I spent much of the concert being an asshole and antagonizing the crowd. I got worse as the show went on, and it's kind of embarrassing for me to listen to now. Fortunately, this track was the first one we played, so I hadn't yet gone into asshole mode.

This was a new song at the time and so the lyrics weren't yet totally finalized. Thus you can hear me kind of mumble nonsense during the song's breakdown.

We decided to release just a handful of tracks from this live recording on our website, but the entire show ended up leaking out and spread among our fan-base. Thus I consider it our pseudo-official live album.

A studio version of this song was eventually recorded for our first proper full-length album Zombies, Werewolves, & Demons.
